ofthebearinghousinginthe

sphericaljointarea.

2.9 Slidethehalfofthehousingwithout

thepinslotaroundthecarrieras-

sembly.Alignthehousingsplitwith

thesplitinthecarrierassembly.

Theatsideofthehousingshould

point down.

2.10 Placetheotherhalfofthehousing

aroundthecarrierassembly.Orient

thecarrierassemblysothatthepin

entersthepinslotinthehousing.

Rotatethecarrierassemblyslightly

and/ormoveitaxiallyontheshaft

toachievealignment.

2.11 Securethehalvesofthehous-

ingtogetherusingthetwo(2)cap

screws.Tightencapscrewstoa

torquevalueof27N-m(20ft-lbs).

Thehalvesshouldcometogether

sothereisfullmetal-to-metalcon-

tactinthejoint.The housing should

grip the carrier tight enough to hold

a xed position, but moveable with-

out requiring mechanical leverage.
